The Community Art Experience is an event centered around families and kids coming together to create their own art with the guidance of local artists and businesses. This event features live performances, hands-on art activities, and concessions. And, at the end of the night you get to take your artwork home!

At EPIC Events, our Art department is focused on providing opportunities and access to local artists, whether they are emerging artists or established artists.
EPIC Events hosted their 2nd Annual EPIC Group Art Show on Thursday, October 28th, 2021 at Gateway. We had over 200 submissions from 70 artists enter the show. Stay tuned for future events!
At EPIC Events Edwin coordinates art events for the community including the EPIC Group Art Shows and Community Art Experience at The Lights. He also works with local artists to put their work up in EPIC Management properties and create more opportunities for them.
He graduated from NDSU in 2021 with a degree in Graphic Design and minor in Strategic Communications. As well as being a part of EPIC Events, he is also part of The Art Syndicate. They are a local collective of artists and creatives that put on art centered events in the community and create more opportunities for local artists.
Edwin has had works in many different shows in the area including exhibitions at: The Rourke Art Museum, the NDSU MU Gallery, and other local events. Besides graphic design he specializes in painting, poster design, and other various mediums.
As well as being the Art Coordinator at EPIC Events, Edwin is a graphic designer for EPIC Companies and has worked at Spicy Pie part-time for five years.
Matthew, also known in the Fargo-Moorhead art scene as 'Not_Hideuhs' is a self-taught artist currently working for EPIC Events on the art team.
His day-to-day is working on art projects specific to current and future EPIC properties. This includes him working on his own designs as well as connecting with other local artists to complete different jobs. He is also on the Epic Art Committee which plans art shows/events for the area. He has also started and ran a Free Drawing Club in the FM Area for 3 years, at places such as Drekker Brewing, the Red River Market, Folkways Night Bazaar, West Acres Mall, Red Raven, and Atomic Coffee.
His favorite medium to work with is spray paint because he still feels like he is first using a crayon to color and try staying in the lines but he also works in acrylics, pen, pencils, making sculptures out of repurposed material, digital illustration.
